The bogs of Ireland are a feast of natural beauty. However I cant help but feel a mixture of emotions when looking across them. For hundreds of years the bogs have provided for the local people. As beautiful and appealing to the eye that they are, I try to appreciate the hardship and sometime tragic history that the West of Ireland endured.
